I have a pure maltise, which is the mother and the two puppies are mixed maltise and shih tzu, Could you tell me if the pure maltise breed is rare today?

Thanks!

No, maltese are fairly common these days. They've become a favorite for petstores, puppymillers and unethical breeders known as "Back Yard Breeders" (BYB).

Your pups will be cute, but certainly nothing rare or extraordinarily special.

I would not consider a maltese a rare breed. A mix of a maltese is even less rare.

Wouldn't say rare. I myself have only met three in my life time but most people wouldn't have a hard time pointing one out in a line up.
