I'm watching the end of Ellen right now and she has the woman who started petfinder on. It's really cool. They are showcasing a few of the dogs and want to make sure people know they can rescue purebred dogs as well.

She also had people in the audience adopt the dogs that were brought out. She also said she wanted to do that more often. I think it is great that she is trying to bring attention to all the pets in shelters.

Although off topic - did you catch what happened to her back?

Oh! And now the audience members are adopting dogs. It's a nice long segment. I love Ellen for that! :D

Saw it !!! She's a great dog lover !!! I admire her for going on with her bad back !!! Been there and it's no fun !

She jumped from a third story level in a parking garage to the second level and landed bad and tore a muscle in her back. Has to be in bed awhile. She is great. I really like her. She is a real down to earth person and does a lot of good.

I love Ellen not only is she a dog lover she loves all animals. I remember the first season when she would talk about these skunks in the back of the property. She thought about relocating them but everyone she called wanted to kill them. So she just left them their figuring it was their home :).

^^^I heard that (about bending down to pick up her dog), too. My mom told me that and she said Ellen said it on her show.
