i've had my sheep dog/golden retriever for about 3 and a half months now, and hes roughly 4 months old.. don't know the exact date without searching.

i feel like i love him like i love members of my family.. is this good or bad?

i feel like a dad to him, and dont like spending days away from him too.

here is a pic:

a bit of a rubbish quality, so i tried to make it better in this one:

Oh welcome to the world of furkids hehe

There is nothing wrong at all, with loving your animals, and making them loved and cherished members of your family.

I am mum to all my crew, human and animal.
Spending time away from them though is a good thing. It teaches them that being on their own for a while is ok, and teaches them stability and independance. We all need to be on our own at times :)

It doesn't mean you love them any less. Love him, adore him, cherish him, let him into your heart, treat him like one of the family. Life doesn't get any better than that.

Just remember though he is still a doggy :)

Enjoy him, and may you both have many happy years together

ETA: His picture is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing it

Congrats! You are definitely one of us. Our pets are our family. This just shows how attached the two of you have become and love each other so much.

If it is crazy or wrong then there are a LOT of people who are suffering from the same mental disorder ;) .

I think it is good for you and the dog, so I can't see why or how it could be wrong.

Your dog give you unconditional love why not give it right back! :D
