Hi

I know this may soudn stupid but here in the uk its not often hot and today is the first real hot day in my pups 9 month life.

She is just stretched across the ground breathing VERY VERY FAST with her tounge hanging out.

Usally i wouldn't worrie but she is breathing in and out SO FAST im worried.

I treid giving her ice quebs and cold water but she is still breathing VERY VERY FAST.

At this time of year my dog is always in the bathroom floor since it is tiled. Cools the body down faster as opposed to carpet. Try to putting him/her in that sort of environment and the fan is a good idea.

Thank you, i was just really worried because she was breathing SO FAST i thought she was having a heart attack, i walked in the garden and she was on the ground with her eyes all weird panting very loud and i got a shock, thank u for the replies.

Dogs can get heat stroke just like people so be very careful. You might try giving her a nice little soak with a garden hose to cool down. :)
