If you do a lot of research, shipping a puppy isn't a terrible thing. Of course, this should happen over a long course of time, as any breeder who ships a puppy after a phone call is NOT reputable.

Find a breeder you like and ask if they'll be having a litter anytime soon. Tell them about your experience, ask if they ship, ask for documents to be faxed, etc.
