Recommended books on showing?

Hello everyone :) I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good books on showing dogs, especially those for a novice? I want to get into the show ring in a few years but want to start learning as much as I can now.

There are plenty I haven't read, but here are some that I've liked.

Show Me is a good beginner's guide and walks you through all of the basics of understanding how shows work, and getting to your first show: http://www.amazon.com/Show-Me-Carol...504&sr=1-2&keywords=show+me+a+dog+show+primer

Tricks of the Trade has a lot of good tips for a beginner: http://www.amazon.com/Tricks-Trade-...F8&qid=1395751400&sr=1-8&keywords=dog+showing

Show Dog follows a show dog over a year, so it's not a how-to book, but it does explain a lot of the basics and politics: http://www.amazon.com/Show-Dog-Char...&qid=1395751363&sr=8-1&keywords=dog+show+book

Born to Win: Breed to Succeed is a classic. It's not really a how-to book for beginners, but it covers a lot about what makes great show dogs. http://www.amazon.com/Succeed-Trott...&sr=1-2&keywords=born+to+win+breed+to+succeed

This two are on my list to read:
New Secrets of Dog Show Handling: http://www.amazon.com/New-Secrets-S...8&qid=1395751427&sr=1-16&keywords=dog+showing
The Winning Edge: http://www.amazon.com/Winning-Edge-...F8&qid=1395751400&sr=1-2&keywords=dog+showing

Thank you so much for the recommendations. I'm going to see if I can a few copies to read. I want to show AmStaffs in the future and looks like these books will be a great start.

By far the most helpful thing was taking handling classes. You could start handling classes with your current dog to get practice and experience before getting a dog to show.
