Need info on mini aussies

I am thinking about getting a mini aussie. so I need all the info I can get.

I've only met two, and wasn't impressed with either. One was very pomeranian like, both in body and mind. The other reminded me of a peke. I have no idea what kind of breeders they were from. I've seen some small-end standard aussies that I liked a lot better.

I would get a standard Aussie and look for one that is just on the smaller end of the scale. Go to aussierescue.org, that's the official website for Australian Shepherds. They can tell you a lot about any dog you are interested in, and quite a few are on the smaller end. There is also aussierescue.leepfrog.com to check out.

I agree with Zoom. You can find small Aussies. I saw a standard female Aussie at the dog park that was probably about 17" tall at the shoulder. (Judging by how she compared to my Sheltie.) It looked like she weighed maybe 30-35 pounds.

Take a look at this girl! She's in Ohio, but a good example of what all can be found in ARPH.
