Lol because i adopted her as an "older" dog.. i never really thought she had changed much. and then I was looking through old pictures and WOW she really was an ackward teenager when i got her lol

So show me your dogs "preteen" ackward phases if you can!

and then top it off with a pretty picture of then now.. to save their ego lol

One of the first pictures I ever took of Sierra, the day I first met her.

Another angle.

versus now:

The closest I have to a recent side profile shot

Edit: WOW - and to think the rescue had her estimated at about a year old and fully grown! I knew she'd grown, but looking at that first picture... it's so PUPPY!!

Unfortunately I didn't have Summer, Rose, or Trey during that phase. :(

Bernard really didn't seem to have one. He literally went from this:

to this:

Overnight without going through any awkward stages. Just one day I realized Nard looked like an adult.

But Beau on the other hand....

to this :yikes:

to this

Nikki went through the worst, though (seems shelties and collies get the uglies really bad, lol!)

All legs and ears!

into this:

At the time I was like "LOL Auggie doesn't really have an awkward stage."
Then months later I looked back at photos and was like "oh."

10 weeks, first day home. ZOMG TINY.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this picture always cracks me up. Auggie looks so ridiculous and Kota's like "WTF you annoying little puppy."

Auggie makes looking ridiculous look so cool...

I should probably stack him again and take a more recent shot. He was not quite two here.

Caleb's gangly period ( 5 months old):

The current best full body shot I have of him is from Aug, 2008 (25 months old):

Extremely Awkward Teenage Ronin... you can tell he's fighting his breeder with all his might!

Ronin nowadays... much older, much bulkier, much more mature. Sort of.
