So, this thread is two parts. First up was yesterdays bike ride with Traveler. First one of the year! We had some crazy wind so when I stopped half way to get pictures of Traveler playing disc (I need one of both dogs from the website of my disc dog group) it didn't go quite how I wanted. But was fun all the same!

He can look so handsome

Now it's Didgie's turn! Today is the last nice day we're having until the temperature drops so I wanted to get Didgie out. I decided it was time for her first real bikeride.

It was a blast, we went about two miles, split in the middle with a game of disc and playing around in a field. AKA Getting super muddy.

She has pretty much no fear about the bike, which is slightly an issue because she keeps trying to switch sides. I had to tap her with the front wheel a few times to instill a little respect. But it was so much fun, I always forget how much I love biking with the dogs and she did great!

****And all you worry warts, don't worry. The two miles was a test of how slow a bike could go (and my coordination of going that slow and feeding treats). She was at a walk, not even a slow trot, for almost the whole time broken up a few times with short sprints, slow/fast trots and so on. I tried to keep it as inconsistent as possible. Which worked because she was still figuring out the bike thing so would stop, speed up, slow down, grin up at me, look around and so on. It was also all on grass.

This was mainly to get her used to being next to the bike, get her out of the house during the last nice day, teach her things like NOT going the other way around the pole, paying attention to me and when I turn, learning to not pay attention to squirrels and dogs.

Love them! They are so fun. I also think Traveler has the best shaped body ever - I hope Limit's chest drops like that. He's incredibly handsome.

Limit runs about 2 miles with me a week. Sometimes trail runs, sometimes on cement. Frankly, he needs the outlet and I like for him to learn how to run on leash relatively young so when he's older and go longer it's an actual run and not training. These herders, or at least Limit's parents, they are started so young on cattle/herding that his life is the life of luxury even with the running. I bet Didgie had a blast! Kastle has no respect for the front tire, even when we nudge him with it. He finds that mildly annoying haha

You should make a trip to TN on the Sat that Sara is coming through!

Thanks all!!

I always forget how much I love biking until I start doing it again and it becomes another addiction. It's just so fun and I don't think I have a more favorite thing to do with them.

I'm so looking forward to Didgie being old enough to do some real biking.

looks like you all had a blast!!!
You and I need to go biking together!

Trav is SO handsome. I can't say it enough. I also love manly he looks, and you can tell (even through her devilish look ;)) that Didgie is very girly. She's growing up sooo fast.
