Nice day today, so Logan (14 month old) and I went outside to take pictures of the weenies :)

Abby wagging her tail. This is Abby's corner of the yard. She camps out there staring up at a dove nest in the tree. She wants it SO bad!

Logan (14 months old) looking mysterious. The top of his head didn't make it into the picture so he kind of looks like a cone head...

Jersey looking regal (Jersey is a girl)

Oops! Jersey got a piece of grass stuck in her collar and is trying to get it out. Now she's looking kind of silly :)

Aww! Lady lying her head in the grass at my feet. What a sweetheart, and so pretty! (she's a red brindle piebald shorthair)

Ok, I know this is so blurry, but it was just too cute not to post! Logan giving Sophie a big hug.

I want to steal the little merle girl.

I am so not used to seeing dachshunds in those colors. They kinda make me think basset hound at first glance. Its their markings.

LOL! It's called "dapple" in the weenie world (but apparently we think we're special, and it's merle everywhere else).

Yes, people always say Jersey looks like a basset. She's a red piebald but has very little white (as opposed to Scout who is a choc/tan piebald with 50% white, which is a "normal" piebald)

I keep wanting to call them merles too. Is Lady a dapple or a Brindle? She looks brindled to me but I can't see much of her to tell.
She's a brindle piebald. (two patterns) Here's a better picture:

OH Ooops. I always do that. I keep on thinking merle when I see a dapple. GAH.
