Let's say you were stranded on a deserted island,& wouldn't be rescued for three months.

What five items would you bring?
1. Swiss Army Knife
2. A flint
3. A large pot- for cooking, transporting things,& using it as storage
4. A tarp
5. A rope

Note:This island is similar to the Hawaiian Islands ,so it has it's share of fruits, veggies,& animals for food.

And go!

I suppose I can't just ask for a satellite phone and escape early?

1.) Tent
2.) Sword
3.) Bugspray
4.) Flint
5.) Fishing rod

If there is no fresh water or there are wild pigs on the island, my list would change.

1) A motel
2) Staff for the motel
3) Something with which to kill myself in case the motel is destroyed.
4) Doesn't matter
5) Doesn't matter

Seriously, I am not made for outdoor survival. I can't imagine what it would take for me to camp for an entire night. 3 months on an island? No thanks. I'll just cross my fingers for a better next life!

There is fresh water on the island, but not easily available. It occasionally rains,& there's coconuts. So, yes there is fresh water. There also isn't any wild pigs on the island. Though there are feral cats. There's a plentiful fish supply, small mammals,& birds are common such as rodents.

To answer you question. You can't bring a phone.

I'd probably die too. Maybe, my own hand, or from my own stupidity. You know... whatever works.

I seriously misread this as "Trent". I was like... I am worried and Trent is flattered and we're both confused?

My answers
1) Some sort of trained game/hunting dog that can catch food for the both of us (Trent could work, if I wanted to survive off of squirrels) AND be a deterrent against people and predators.

2) My tablet (and a portable charger and if you tell me this is cheating, my hunting dog and I will eat you for food). This tablet will include a book indentifying edible and poisonous plants in the area (again, I don't count this as cheating), along with all my other books.

3) Water purifier (there's got to be some that work, right?)

4) Lighter

5) First aid kit.

Runner up would be a weapon of sorts, but with how frequently I get injured, I'm going to need those bandages and antibiotics.

1. Dog (And I thought that before it was mentioned! lol) You know the right dog wouldnt be bad. You could get one of those all purpose kind of dogs. Cold hunt for you (mine would be a burden but maybe a cur???)

2. Tarp- shelter and can trap water

3. machete- when Ive been in rainforest areas that is the go to weapon.

4. multi pack of lighters. (like this http://www.amazon.com/Disposable-Li...d=1407205777&sr=8-2&keywords=lighters+50+pack)

5. Fishing gear???? maybe. I can fish. That is probably my best bet at feeding myself.

I kind of cheated on the last two.

First aid kit would be nice too....

Coconuts are key. You can drink green ones, eat them, and use them as bowls or carrying containers.

Banana leaves are good for plates, and as a roof.

Forgot a mask/snorkel though. I'm useless in the water without, but you could probably make a fishing spear with the machete.

My boyfriend.

That's all I'd need. He's the practical survivor type, unlike me.

Well since I clearly know ahead of time, I research what five things I need to build transportation so I can rescue my own dang self off the island and bring those.

4. A saw or machete of some type
