THe bandage was too tight. I am just horrified. The vet, the good one, the one I LIKE was back in today. She used some kind of light on it, put antibiotic powder on it, rewrapped it, gave me more pain pills for her, and she is to go back Saturday to get the stitches out. IN the meantime I am to gently massage her toes and apply ice. It was where the other vet wrapped it around her elbow. This vet didnt' have it that way on the original dressing, and it's not like that now. Eventually the rock of worry will loosen in my chest. I was scared it was going to keep her foot from healing and or worse. We spent a long night keeping it up in the air. I didn't know what else to do. I was so close to taking the dressing off...because I felt that was what was wrong, she didnt' have a temp, it didn't smell, it wasn't draining..I just felt in my heart it was too tight, but when he cut a slit in the bottom and declared it good, Ia m not a vet, I didn't know what to do.
SHe will walk on it now and the pain look is not in her eyes and her ears. I don't know how else to put it in words, but she holds her ears a certain way when she has discomfort. She doens't cry or whine, I am so grateful we got in first thing this morning.
Pepper says pink is no better than green and green was no better than tan with red stripes. now she has cold toes to boot. SHe is not a happy camper can you tell?
