I just took Maddie my six month old pup for a lesson with a trainer here in the city and couldn't have been prouder. She was really well behaved around the other dogs (also a doggie day care) and apparently has a better recall than I ever imagined.

The trainer recomended clicker training and already I've got her doing some pretty cool things thanks to it. Really excited to get her out for a few walks to to try some stuff out. I got a halti for her too, so hoping that will help with her sniffing and going off on her own.

Anyways, this post was more just for me to say how proud I am of my dog and how happy I am that I rescued her. Thanks for reading.

Aww thats great.

Clicker training is really good for alot of free shaping.

Would not reommend halti's tho.

Why are the halti's not recomended? Just asking cause I've read some conflicting advice but the trainer today said it would really help with her lagging behind and sniffing everything.

I find its one of those things if you start your never gonna stop.

And how is it helping? so its easyer to yank the dog along?
