The alert is inherited, some dogs do it, others won't. I got pretty lucky with Rhea, she just started doing it one day. I'm hoping maybe Qenna will pick it up, but if not that's ok. The response part is actually pretty easy to train for. Later on she'll be trained to lay on top of me during a seizure and to lick my face if I don't wake up right away. Also I have a life alert phone that she'll be trained to activate if I tell her too or if she can't get me to wake up. Right now she's just getting socialized and used to going different places with me.

Rhea's also trained for other tasks cause my seizures and medication cause other side effects like an extremely slow thinking process and mobility issues. She picks up things that I drop, lets me know if I forget to turn off the stove (which happens alot!), keeps me from falling over and many other things. She knows over 150 commands. The main thing though is that she is always there for me.
Qenna will eventually be trained to do the same things, it'll just take some time
