Now that I am actually doing things other than chores in the winter, I need to upgrade my wardrobe!

So, I need some waterproof hiking boots. (If I can find some to be dual purpose for the summer as well, that would be ideal!)

Favorite snowpants!

Favorite jackets!

And go!

My winter gear:

Boots: So this is what I've found with boots. My feet don't really get cold, actually they're usually sweating. That said I need heavier boots in the winter because I'm generally lashing snowshoes or spikes onto them.

These are my winter boots... serious love for these things. I went through a bunch of boots until I found these. <3

MicroSpikes: I LOVE THESE THINGS!!!!!

Gators: I wear these summer and winter... in winter to keep the snow out of my shoes/off my pants and in the summer if I'm going somewhere with heavy brush.

For clothes I wear a thin wind/water proof outer layer. Based on what the temps are going to be determines what base layers I'm going to put on. I find that my core needs more help staying warm then my legs do.

My pants are really old, so they don't specifically have them... but they are basically these:

My jacket goes between a northface rain jacket or a hardshell columbia snowjacket but just the outer liner.

My base layers are Techwick which I bought from EMS. They have T1-T3 weights. I wear both a top and bottom layer.

Then I have various fleeces and vests for my core.

***I tried to add pictures but they ended up massively large***

Well, I don't do snowpants, lol. Yes, I'm weird. However...

Favorite boots are steel toed boots that I have a set of spikes for traction that I can put on and take off very easily. The boots are from Farm And Fleet. I've had them for years and LOVE them. I wear them in the summer, winter, whatever weather. If you are susceptible to frost bite though (I get frostbite very easily because I've had frostbite before in my toes) you may not want STBs... I just find them very versatile and handy as I get hurt alot and I like having toes. I wear extra socks when I'm going to be out for a long time so that the steel doesn't freeze my toes off too quickly.

All my coats, ever since I've been a kid, have been Zero Exposure coats. They work very well for me and you can find them anywhere.

Yeah... I'm very simple when it comes to my gear lol. But it all works really well.
