Anyone else have an experience with this? It's a potentially fatal bout of vomiting and diarhea that leaves a dog dehydrated and unable to eat or even drink water without becoming sick again. In many cases (including my dog's) the dog has to be hospitalized and given IV fluids to rehydrate them while giving their system a chance to rest. It's a creepy disease, because it's so normal-seeming at first. What dog doesn't throw up sometimes?

I'm sorry I have never had a dog go through this before. I read that with aggressive Vet work that this can be over come.

I really hope your dog pulls through OK.

Thanks! Now I realize I gave the impression it was happening now. It actually occured last year, and I was just curious if anyone else had the experience. Henry's fine now - the only good thing about it is it's pretty uncommon for a dog to die of it once you get them to a vet.
