Desitin safe for dogs?

Kiba has a bit of irritate on her lady bits, and was wondering if this would be safe to put on it, that or neosporin (and she's covered up with panties right now).

Not sure about those parts, but we had to put it on Jinjo's pooper shoot earlier this year after he had a bad reaction to some allergy medication the vet decided to try and put him on (one of his common digestive allergic reactions is swollen red hot irritated butt hole, don't know how common that is with other dogs?). The vet said to apply it a few times a day and it would be okay.
