Actually a 9,400 yr old bone fragment was found. Caution: just where it was found might be disturbing.

How interesting! I wonder if they'll be able to model what the dog might have looked like, or even better, get any DNA to compare to wolves/modern dogs/coyotes. I doubt it, but hey, could happen!

it says they DNA tested it, and it is not wolf, coyote, fox in origin, but dog. and it was eaten for food

OK, I'm not startled to hear that, but I'd love to know if it was related to today's dogs or what.
