Ferret Owners!

So, despite Ella's paperwork saying she has always had a water bottle rather than a bowl... she doesn't know how to use it. She licks it, but not hard enough for water to come out. If I give her a bowl, she slurps it, chokes and then gets mad cause she choked :rofl1: Anybody ever have this problem? It's been a week, and she still hasn't figured it out.

also, I just gave her a chicken wing, and she was all OMG I LOVE YOU and nommed it right away I guess she'll get chicken wings!

Did you get another fert?

I find with animals sometimes it just takes a bit longer for them to get used to a bottle, if they need to drink, they will get it. Maybe you could use a bottle aimed at smaller animals as they usually have smaller lighter spouts, meaning it would be easier for her to get used to, although you would have to fill it more often.

Or a shallower water bowl, like a frisbee type depth?

Maybe she is used to a smaller water bottle that would take less force? Like hamster sized or something lol
