Looking to maybe start Quinn on probiotics as I've heard they can be helpful for ear infections, which I've been battling. She also has seasonal allergies so I'm wondering if it could help with that.

Anyone have any brand recommendations? We carry Omega Alpha Probiotic 8 Plus at my work so it's pretty accessible, but also fairly expensive (even with my staff discount). My manager has had good luck with it with her Dane though.

Also looking at Geneflora. I saw it in a store today for $40, but it looks like it's a lot cheaper on CleanRun.

This stuff is really cheap, too, which is a bonus!

I lovelovelove Geneflora. I give it to all the meat eaters in my house.

That said, Probiotic 8 Plus is a powerhouse. It's the most potent probiotic we carry.

Honestly I have always just given the probiotic yogurt when my elderly girl started having tummy troubles. They worked wonders and my vet agreed that they did the trick just as well. This was years and years ago though, maybe things have changed.

Be careful though, I have a friend who put his 3 dogs on one and they had very runny poop for 3 weeks straight until he took them off it. No idea which one he used though.

Right now Buzz is on NaturVet Digestive Enzymes with Probiotics and he's been doing well. Prior to that he's had ProZyme but I didn't notice a difference with him.

One of my dogs can stomach yoghurt and one can't. Unfortunately the one who can't is the one who needed probiotics...

They get tripe three nights a week from greentripe.com and its done some awesome things for Scout's tummy. Its really low calorie, you could easily add a little every day. :)

That said, I've heard great stuff about Geneflora! :)
