Hi. Iv'e been researching about the Welsh Springer Spaniel and have herd a few things that i just want to clarify.
1)Does that breed have to be working?Would it be happy not doing anything like retrieving etc?
2)I've herd that this breed is 'soft'.I do not mind this but to what extent is it soft, and could somebody elaborate on that.

Thank you.

They don't have to be a working dogs, but if it is not working you will have to make sure that it gets enough exercise!! Springers can get into all sorts of mischief if they don't get enough exercise!!!!

I don't think that they are soft! But they do have very soft mouths!! Maybe that is what you mean?

Well, Springers are normally submissive dogs. Rose could be classified as a "soft" dog. She goes to peices when I scold her.
