I bet you everyone who read the title of this post was like... Um, this is a dog forum... What in the world???
Anyway, the week before I started my dog grooming job, I was in the salon where I usually get my nails done. The tech was taking my acrylics off, and my cell phone rang. It was my boss / teacher calling to tell me that I was hired.
I decided right then and there not to come back after the next week (I give my nails a weeks break between every four fills) and not get acrylics any more.
Well, my nails are grown out, not brittle any more from the acrylic, but they BREAK all the time... After I've washed, especially.
My question is... Do any of you groomers get acrylics or gel nails? Do they hold up against the many challenges that grooming poses to nails? My natural nails look TERRIBLE, they're jagged, and they keep breaking off... I just don't know what to do.
