My grandfather had a wonderful miniature Schnauzer named Skippy. He was the softest dog ever, he even cried if you went across the street! When my grandfather couldn't look after Skippy, we took him in. Skippy was 11 by then. He stayed in good health, but showed his age more and more after my grandfather passed away in February 2004. Sadly, by the time he was 14, he had become very frail and his quality of life had deteriorated, he was no longer able to enjoy the things he always took pleasure in such as going for walks. He had a nasty incident when he fell on a rake and was caught between a fance, while he wasn't hurt, we knew we couldn't keep him around. The September of 2005, he was euthanized. RIP, Skippy
