Slade just swallowed a big fat baby carrot whole! I just gave it to him as as treat, because they're one of his favorites, and he just gulped it like a pelican instead of chewing! :yikes:

Will his belly actually break it down any, or is this thing going to end up being the grossest torpedo ever in a couple of days?!

For that matter, is something slippy / somewhat rounded like a baby carrot a possible impaction risk?

Grammy's right, it'll pass alright....but whole. Dogs can't break down cellulose. That's why if you're giving your dogs carrots and you want them to get any nutrients from them, they have to be grated or at least in very small pieces.

It'll likely slide right on through and look just the way it did going down.
