I have a question, we have a small chiX dog- generally ok, but has a strong prey drive, i.e. chipmunks,squirrels,etc are an obsession to the point where we can't distract her at all..... recently one of my kids got a pet guinea pig..... it's up on a stand/cage setup,so out of her reach,but she sits outside the room whining endlessly ,she just wants in to stare and...I don't know what!
We try distractions,extra playtimes,letting her 'meet' the critter (who's very friendly) what can we do? anything? or just tolerate the whining? She is basically determined to get to the critter all the time, no matter what..... any help appreciated!
