GunDog Magazine published an article on FCRs today, with interviews by some very long time FCR field owners, trainers, and breeders.
Considering several FCRs qualified for and earned a pass at last year's Master National and one was a finalist, I would disagree with the statement in the article that FCRs haven't had success at the upper end of field trials, though they are certainly not nearly as common as Labs or Goldens, and a Lab is almost a guaranteed to win.
But anyway, just something to read for those interested in the breed
