My aunt and uncle's golden passed away yesterday :( She was diagnosed with juvenile renal disease a couple months ago - they were hoping she'd at least make it to her first birthday, but I guess she declined pretty quickly this past week. So sad, especially since they have another 14-year-old golden who's on the way out as well.

I have a cold that is settling in fast. Like, I felt fine this morning. Now I'm tired, my throat hurts, my nose is runny, and just bleh.

I had a sore throat with cough last week - gargled with salt water 2 times/day for 3 days and took some Airborne and so far so good. Maybe it would help you too?

Every Subaru offered has at the very least 30 mpg highway (excluding turbo models). CVT will trump manual in the gas mileage department every time. The auto Crosstrek gets 33 highway, with plenty of people pushing that upwards of 40.
That is really good (my old Legacy wagon got 28 no matter what I did with it). Its good MPG, especially on the Outback, but I think the bar is moving pretty fast and AWD means they won't be leading very often.

Then again, I have a Honda Fit which is trounced by half a dozen new models in MPG (and a few are Subarus too).

I have a date tomorrow night.

And nothing to wear. Except I don't mean that like most girls do.

I own zero pairs of jeans and one dress that's not suitable for winter.

I'm screwed.

My city is big. Lots of people. Yet it's very small town feeling and often there's that "everybody knows everybody" kind of thing.

Radio station co-worker 1 -> best friends with other friend, who is now my current co-worker
Radio station co-worker 2 -> dating other friend/current co-worker, helped me get this job
Radio station co-worker 3 -> in social circle with other radio friends and co-workers
ALL THREE -> friends with woman who was actually one of my art teachers in high school
Art teacher + her wife -> in my social circle, are people I have drank with
Art teacher's wife -> works at a place that is currently hiring somebody for marketing and design

So this SOUNDS like an awesome, because she knows me and also she's married to my FORMER ART TEACHER.
But if I apply, word will most likely get back to at least one of my radio station co-workers and will then go to my friend/current co-worker.
Who I have not told I'm looking for another job. And if he knows, he might accidentally say something to my other co-worker who then could say something to my boss.

But I am so mad at myself for not applying all the same.

I was all excited because there's a zoo in Washington hiring 3 full time keepers and a full time education specialist. And when I googled them...they're ZAA accredited, not AZA accredited :wall: :wall: :wall:

I JUST WANT A JOB DAMMIT. IS IT TOO MUCH ASKED TO FIND A FULL TIME JOB AT A DECENT ZOO?!

Really upset. Just paid $600 to get new tires put in my car. They told me all my tie rods needed to be replaced which they said is what is causing the joint popping type noise I hear when I'm driving and turning my steering wheel. They also needed to do an alignment. Another $550 later.... My car is still making that popping. It isn't quite as bad as before but if I paid them to fix it why is it still making that noise when they told me it was the tie rod issue that was causing it??? I'm upset.

The roads are still ****, 2 days after the snow stopped, and we're supposed to get MORE snow tonight/tomorrow. It's like they just threw their hands in the air and said "**** it! Who needs plowed roads? We'll let cars plow as they drive!" Except there was a LOT of snow, and it's 7 degrees, and the more cars drive on it, the more it gets compressed to ice. So right now it's basically ice, and the roads are worse than they were yesterday or even the day before. There is NO difference between side streets and main streets. Today they put a bit of sand on some of the busiest roads, but that's not doing a lot.

My mom, who sits at home, doesn't drive, and doesn't go out for days at a time, keeps saying "Of course they plowed! It's just a lot of snow!" Um, no. There are NO signs of plowing on the roads except for some side streets that look plowed by private parties.

Unfortunately I know all the individuals involved too well to think "don't say anything" is a reality that could possibly happen. =/

Do it, and what happens happens.
That's all fine except for when "what happens" includes the possibility of "lose your job, can't pay mortgage, lose your house." When the business owner is actively looking for ways to save money, volunteering up YOUR SALARY as a possible thing that could be cut is a terrible idea...

MOOD SWINGS AAAAAAAAGH

I'm on a hair trigger temper and a growing chip on my shoulder.

Not good combinations for being at work.

I'm doing legs tonight so hopefully I will be murdering myself into a better mood.

Get your house fixed up, TerBear will move in and pay rent to help pay your mortgage, then no worries. Now We just need to find a job in IL. This 10 hour drive back home thing is a killer

Hahahaha... there's no room for anybody to move in and pay rent. Unless I don't live there, which defeats the purpose of owning a house LOL.

I'm all about more people moving here but you should probably wait until winter is over... and then maybe also buy another home to winter somewhere else.... because IT SUCKS HERE RIGHT NOW UGH.
