I just took my 8 week old Westie puppy to the vet. She hasn't been eating well and has been acting a little lethargic. It turns out she has tonsillitis. I came right home and started looking for info about canine tonsillitis on the Web. The vet old me that puppies can get tonsillitis just like human children, but I just read that one of the causes could be a foreign object stuck in the throat. I fed my pup a raw chicken leg and she loved knawing on the bone. Do you think it's possible the chicken bone caused her problem? It was a raw chicken bone which are presumably soft. The vet didn't indicate that there was anything stuck in her throat or that this was a possible scenario, but now I'm worried that I'm to blame for her troubles.
