Any guesses on what this adorable guy is, and how old he is? I'm thinking a pit mix of some kind. I also think he's about 4-6 months old. What does everyone else think? He's rather underweight, and he's about Australian Cattle Dog height. *Pssst. I think he might be our new dog!* :eek:

I hope you keep him. Looks like he needs a friend with some food!!
(I read your other post).

From the pictures I think he looks boxer/hound. His legs look long in the pics too. Maybe even pitt/hound, but only your first picture resembles a pit to me. :D

By the way he is beautiful!!!

edit: - hound as in English bluetick. Is he big enough for a boxer/bluetick mix?

Hmm honestly.. I dont see MUCH pit in him.. if any. I think hes got more Boxer then pit(possibly?). I can see mostly the Catahoula in him.

This one is a solid colour..?




He definately resembles this breed! :)

I agree the pup in my picture is a Catahoula :)

OK check this out..

This dog is part Aussie Cattle dog and Catahoula hound

and hes brindled!

Apparently some of the pures can be classed as "brindle" as well..
This guys colour is classed as "black leopard with brindle and white trim



These are red brindle catahoula hound pups


and a yellow brindle catahoula hound..


Maybe he could be pure??

Summer I was thinking the same thing....because that is one of the breeds (if I can find one) that I am doing some research in...because in a few years I would love to have one...I was getting ready to post those pictures because I do know that they come in a brindled color also...so he could very well be a purebred...

Catahoula....wow, he does look like those dogs. I've only seen blue catahoulas, so I never thought about it. It's actually a fairly common breed in this area, so that wouldn't be too far of a stretch. I think you guys are right.

Great! At least I have something to go on!

Gem ... right now you are fostering a great sweet little guy !! Don't get too wrapped up !!! I did that with my " visitor" until the 4th day when I found she was microchipped.... it was a bitter sweet day.I personally don't see Pitt .... I thinks she's a great Heinz dog.

Catahoula/Pointer or Catahoula/hound (probably just a mix of working hounds, if they're common in your area) would be my guess. He is **** cute!

Just got back from the vet! The vet said he's a "beautiful little catahoula." So kudos to all those who guessed right!
