Rare and deadly illness strikes dogs at Paulding County shelter
A rare disease "Strep Zoo" has been found in a Georgia shelter. It can be fatal and travels from dog to dog. Here are the symptoms:

Hate to hear that is spreading. It's horrible for shelter populations. That one is like the H3N8 dog flu in that it was originally a stable disease for centuries in horses, then within the past 10 years or so, I think, jumped to dogs.
