lol I'm not - I'm not reading this thread either. :p
LOL! Good idea. And seriously, no Wikipedia, no reddit, just... no.

Also, I really envy you. I have to wait another 10 months for GOT (yeah yeah book readers I know, you've been waiting 6 years and counting).

Don't even begin to Google anything at all because the suggested searches contain spoilers! Happy viewing!

boooooookkkkks :)

But really, I'm so sad it's over. What will I watch? :( And I'm done the books so I don't even have that outlet.

Honestly I'm so excited for everyone who doesn't know what's coming :) IMO the second half of ASOS has more amazing scenes than the first. Yeah the RW was shocking, but there are at least 4 events in the second half that are just as good or better. I hope they do them justice.

I know, I know! I'm going to read them!

Right now all of my shows are on break for the summer and I won't have anything to watch until September :( I'm rewatching old episodes for now, and thinking about picking up Sherlock or Breaking Bad. Except I watched a bit of the pilot episodes for each show and turned it off almost immediately. They were just ehhhh, but I'll try to give them another chance considering the hype.

GOT SEASON 4 PLEASE BE HERE ALREADY. And be awesome. Really, really awesome.

SERIOUSLY, this. OMG I've "learned" that a few times, but then I forget and try to watch during dinner again. And just no, bad idea.
Lol I was eating lunch. Grilled cheese mjam, when they poored gold over that poor guys head (he deserved it though). EW.

Note to self: Do not eat while watching game of thrones.
Uh, yeah, haha. It's... well they don't shy away from violence or gore. I agree with whoever posted earlier that when you read it though, it's worse, because you are left with your full imagination to create the pictures. It's why my "reading" is entirely from online summaries and stuff haha. It still tells you how people die but quite briefly, and I can quickly keep moving (since it's a summary) so I don't have to dwell on it very long hahaha. The worst yet IMO happens in I think book four? Tyrion kills somebody and GROSS GROSS GROSS GROSS. Can't handle it.

That would be Book 3 (when he kills Tywin on the privy?).

Note to those who've read ahead: (books/wiki) it's probably best not to openly mention Tyrion's existence past ASOS/Book 3, because it ruins the suspense of his trial and the duel to know he lives.

My least favorite was a book 2 scene where he disemboweled a horse with his helmet (not much of a spoiler), which I found unbelievable and therefore gratuitous. So I ended up squicked and angry lol.

So, I was thinking, how do the books/seasons line up? I doubt it but for example, does season one = book one? What book are we on now?

We're in the middle of book 3 right now. More or less Season 1 = book 1. Season 2= book 2. Season 3 = part of book 3.

The show is violent but I eat and watch it all the time! The worst scene for me was when Mel gave birth to the shadow creature that killed Renly. I don't know why but that was awkward. Also, the scene from season 1 where Littlefinger is talking and the two whores are going at it the whole time. That seemed gratuitous.

I hate basically all the brothel scenes. I like porn, I like sex scenes, but the brothel scenes are gratuitous/trying too hard and sometimes a bit gross. Like the Meereenese Knot. I found that somewhat nasty.

That said I can only think of a handful of videos that might make me lose my appetite and GoT doesn't come close to being one. :p
