While the gecko was planned well in advance...this little thing was very much unplanned.
Meet Lis the mouse She's named after Elisabeth Sladen (RIP ), the actress behind DW's Sarah Jane Smith.
We did a project in my animal behavior class today studying learning in mice. Afterwards we had a dozen mice and a dozen people, so pretty much everyone took a mouse home. I have no idea how old she is, but she's TINY - 10 grams. She's just a feeder mouse, but she's adorable and quite calm for a mouse (most I've met have been nippy, she's not, at least not yet).
Being a feeder mouse I'm not terribly optimistic about her lifespan, but I figure I'll give her the best care I can for however long she's around. She is currently in Jagger's hand-me-down cage (because he has a new one! I'll post an update in his thread shortly). It's a bit more vertical than I'd like with not as much floor space as I'd like, but it'll do for now until I can make a larger one.
