You're favorite trick?

What's your favorite trick to teach a dog? I think the shake hands trick is pretty cool, which I taught my dog, and I think getting a dog to jump over things is pretty cool

I agree, people can teach theyre dogs the most complicated tricks but I stil think shake is the coolest.

I'm not sure. My Terrier mix knows how to say her prayers which is pretty cute.

My favorite trick was one I managed to teach a Dobie/Weim mix I babysat for a few weeks. She had this wonderful long tail and I kept thinking, "We've got to do something with that tail." She was brilliant and easy to teach, and she helped me come up with the trick. I would hold out my "gun" hand and yell "BANG!" She would collapse dramatically, wagging wildly, and roll over onto her back and stick all four feet straight up. Still wagging. I would say, "Are you dead?" and she would just wag harder. Then I'd tell her, "Dead dogs don't wag!" and she would stop instantly. My favorite trick ever!

Jake has just (within the hour) got 'roll-over' - so I'd say that's mine right now (thought he'd never do it just to make a point with me )

Mine's probably not a particular trick, the funnest part about doing tricks, and then teaching them news ones, strengthening your bond with them.
