I thought I would make a thread where everyone could post their favorite dog treat or food recipe. Here is mine:

Sunny Rewards

2 Cups all purpose flour
1/2 Cup Quick Oats
2/3 Cup meat broth
6 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1/2 Cup Meat Dripping

Step 1: Preheat oven to 400F.

Step 2: Mix flour, oats, meat broth, and oil well.

Step 3: Roll to 1/4" thick. Cut into smal squares. Size will vary depending on dogs mouth. Remember, these are for rewards while training, so keep it small.

Step 4: Place squares on an ungreased cookie sheets. Baste with meat drippings.

Step 5: Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Allow to cool. Store in container or Ziploc baggie.

* I use beef flavored broth and beef drippings.

I have the Three Dog Bakery cookbook, and they have a ton of great recipes in there, but I can't remember any of them right now, darn!

One of the girls' favorites is Molasses Biscuits though.

Molasses Biscuits
1 Egg
2 cups wholewheat flour
1 cup molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Around 1 cup water

In large bowl, whip egg and water, add vanilla and molasses.

In seperate bowl, mix together baking power, ginger, cinnamon, and flour. Gradually add wet mixture to dry, until smooth. With hands, shape into balls and press flat on greased baking sheet. Cook at 375 degrees until a crisp brown color.
