Worlds best cat litter?

I just bought some and am going to switch the cats today. Anyone tried it? Liked it? I bought some natural litter a few years ago and just wasnt happy with the results (cant remember the brand, the litter was yellow and fluffy). My cats used both the same, so they dont seem to care. We have been loyal tidy cats fans before and since. I dont like the dust though of it when I scoop, and I know it isnt good for them. They are both getting older, and I dont want to cause any asthma problems. Also, my male gets it in the water bowl all the time. He has litter stuck on his paw, and he dunks it in the water to drink! I always thought it was the dog getting it in there, but since he died there is still litter everyday in the bowl. :lol-sign: Plus with a puppy coming that Might get into and eat the litter I want a more natural product. I know I already bought some, but I want others experiences too. Thanks!

I'm not a big fan of World's Best. I find it better than clay, but I don't like the smell of it.

You can find corn cob litter at some stores for a fraction of the price. I wanted to get the WBCL after I'd heard about it and seen it used in the kennel I worked in for a short time. We found an off-brand ground cob litter that worked amazingly for us. And I was in a pet store just last week looking for ferret supplies and saw corn cob litter, not World's Best brand but the exact same thing itself, for suuuuuper cheap.

I recently switched to World's Best, also a former Tidy Cats user here. It smells more...earthy...IMO but not bad. It clumps just as well if not better. One does need to change the litter and wash the box every so often (more so than with Tidy Cats) but that's a good thing since I should do that anyway! (My old method was scoop daily and add more litter when it gets low, but this is more hygenic.)

The one thing I don't like about it is that my cat tracks the powder everywhere, including my dark blue sofa. But I switched litter at the same time I moved in with the sofa (or rather the sofa's owner LOL) so I don't know that she wouldn't have been tracking Tidy Cats everywhere.

I haven't seen any generic versions in the US but I'll be on the lookout for them now that I know they exist.

Worlds best is the pellets, right? I want to say Allie uses it for her ferrets... I just buy wood stove pellets for $5 for 40lbs, it's cheaper

I used Feline Pine when I lived with my first roommate. She had a bajillion cats and it was definitely the best quality for the cheapest price. Loooove it. Also used it for the rabbit. And ferrets.

Feline Pine is the pellets. I might try those...World's Best is similar to clay litter except that it's made from corn. This shows the litter -

I tried it before, wasn't a huge fan. I thought it smelled.. weird.

I recently switched over to Feline Pine (the scoopable kind) and LOVE it! I will never go back to clay litter! No odor, no dust, lightweight, it's awesome!

I've used World's Best and really liked it. I didn't like the price.

My favorite is PaPurr litter, but it's hard to find. Now I just go back and forth between paper litter and corn litter, depending on what store I'm in when I need litter.

Clay sucks.

I LOVE it - it's lighter than clay litter but clumps better, and it smells like peanut butter.

That said... my cats hated it. So we're back to the Tidy Cats/Fresh Step. *sigh* Dammmn cats.

We tried it once.... and, coincidentally that was at the same time my cat developed crystals and started peeing outside the box; so we stopped using it because we thought he just hated the new litter. Haven't tried it since but I don't remember having any complaints about it when we were using it.

We just stick with Fresh Step now since it's cheap at Costco. I don't have bad things to say about that either... I'm not picky about litter though, as long as it clumps, I'm a happy camper

we used to use feline pine....but its cheaper to buy equine pine (or any pine pellet bedding for stalls) and is the same stuff

June Bug uses World's Best because it's an AMAZING litter and I get it at cost. It would be way too expensive to get otherwise, but it's arguably worth the cost. Love the scent, the odour control, and the clumping is superb.

Ok, have had it for over 24 hours now. I have to say that I Love my cats!!! They will go in any litter!! TG! The scent is... different. I got the naturally scented kind. I might try the "plain" next. Scooped it out this morning. Clumped well, but the tidy cats is faster to scoop. I have a superfantabulous big metal scooper that the tidy cats just fell through without me shaking. I have to shake this kind. Oh well, 20 extra seconds to scoop. Thats fine. It does track alot, but the tidy cats did too. Im not bothered by that. We have a long laundry room, and the boxes are on one side, so all the tracking basically stays in that room. No complaints so far!
