Red ears

Poor ol' Missy has some mighty red ears.

However, I don't think it is an infection. Her ears aren't hurting her, she isn't pawing or scratching at them. They are just awfully red.

I think they need to be cleaned. Any ideas on how I'd go about doing that?

If they are red, they may be infected. Personally, I would have them looked at by the vet.

Well... if she were my dog, she'd already be there.

I have told Mary to keep an eye on them, but being the old homebody she is, I highly doubt she'd take Missy to the vet unless Missy was yelping in pain

Was she in a heated area when you looked at them? Or just exercised?

Lizzie's tend to turn a nice bright red after being really hot (i.e. a long run or hot walk). But go back to her normal color about 30 minutes after that.
