Will you put 1" collars on your JRTs?
Or is that too wide?

We want to make small dog collars, but we don't feel comfortable going below 3/4".
And I've never had small dogs, not really, so I do not know how wide of a collar looks ok on them.
I know my friend puts 1" dog collars on her pug and he looks so **** cute.
Especially when it has sheriff stars and spots all over it.:lol-sign:

Thanks so much, guys!!!

Meredith,
See, I wouldn't think that 1" would be too wide for most dogs (minus chis or super duper small dogs).
A 1" collar on Ella looks like a shoe string.:lol-sign:

The JRTs can do 1 inch though it looks a bit strange on the smaller ones, the whippets, whose necks are the same size around can do a little more.

Do most whippet owners like to keep their whippets in martingales, though, like greyhound owners do?

Or are whippets not similar to greyhounds in that regard?

Because whippets have long, beautiful necks that could get away with a 1 1/2" collar, easily. If not wider (wouldn't go much wider than 1 3/4", if that wide).
I probably wouldn't go 2" only because...well...whippets are so...elegant. And unless it's a 2" wide fancy shmancy ribbon collar, I wouldn't go 2" wide.
But that's just my opinion.:D

Many do like martingales, Bounce is fine with a regular collar. Their necks aren't quite as small in comparison to their heads as greyhounds.
