Another Chloe Update

Sorry, to keep updating even when I dont have a lot but since people keep asking about her, I figured I would post as I get anything.

I took Chloe for her first appointment today with a specialist at Animal Medical Center in Manhattan... first let me say this place is AMAZING, it looks like a real hospital inside, they have every specialty you can imagine and the people were as nice as could be.

They did an ultrasound today and her kidneys and everything else they saw looks perfect and are all in the right place. Obviously this does not say anything about how the organs are functioning but the fact that they are structurally normal is a good sign... at this point we appreciate every bit of good news we get.

Now the doctor is slightly concerned about liver diseases considering the prevalence in her breed... she did bile acid tests which we will have the results of in the coming days.

While I dont have answers yet, I finally feel like I have a doctor on my side who will get to the bottom of this no matter what it takes and that feels great. She is proceeding in a step by step fashion, doing a few tests at a time and ruling out what she can.

I hope to have more news in the weeks ahead.

I'm glad you have found a doctor who is willing to work with you. I know how frustrating it is to just KNOW there is something wrong with one of your pets and to not be able to get an answer. I hope things progress well. And keep up the updates!
