biting paws

My dog has been biting her paws now for about 2 weeks. I have checked them and there isn't anything that is in the paw, no soreness, nothing is swollen- she just bites and them and chews them. She hasn't caused any damage to them, and I was just curious if anyone knew the answer. My friend's dog had this same problem, and I forget what the reasoning was. Thanks!

my boyfriends' dog does that once in a while and licks them like a cat. We have no idea why.

It could be allergies or a stress reaction.

Boris does it too... I think he's chewing his nails, lol.

food allergies is why my one dog did it
drove me NUTS I thought she had fleas all the time
changed her to a hypoallergic food - Duck & Potato
and now no more feet chewing

That's weird, there should be some sign if there was some kind of allergy, no?

Charlie licks/bites his paws too. I think they itch or something...lol well duh. Sorry I'm not much of help
