I am working with my training to get my Male Doberman Spirit trained so we can take him to nursing homes. There is an assisted living home across the street from the park that we walk to. I see the gentlemens faces light up when they see my Dobermans. The men really like to pet Spirit and talk to him the most. I think it is because Spirit is such a big dog (105lbs and 27 1/2") but he is so gentle. I think men like the big dogs the most. Big dogs are something they can get their hands on easily and pet a little more roughly than a small lap dog.
