I want to start a rare breed rescue

Hey. My name is Ashley and I have a pomeranian and I work in a grooming shop. I used to run a kennel and be a barn manager. Now Im bathing/grooming and going to school.

Do you have any dogs?

And why would you like to start a "rare breed" rescue? What would consist of "rare breeds"? Mixes? Only purebreds?

Most "rare" breeds have rescue organizations funded and run by the breed's national breed club. For example, Ibizan Hounds in need of rescue usually end up being fostered and placed with the help of the breed's national club, IHCUS. People who are active in the breed are best-suited to place rescue Ibizans in appropriate homes, since they are experienced with the breed.

Is there a particular reason you want to open a rare breed rescue, and do you have any experience in a particular rare breed?

If you really want to this, you need to have a lot of time and money on your hands. I'm going with Sizzle Dog here when I say do you have any experience doing this? Remember to think it through!
