Grain free what age?

At what age can a dog start grain free such as EVO? I think it is two but I want to be sure.

I believe with the higher protein grainfree diets such as Evo and Orijen you want to wait till they're fully developed , so 18-24 months or so . With a lower protein grainfree diet such as the Acana provincial line or Taste of the Wild you can feed from puppy onward .

I started my dog on Orijen puppy when I got him at 2 mos.

Any "all life stages" food (grain free or otherwise) should be okay too.

You have to be a bit more careful feeding a giant breed puppy (like a Dane) appropriately but, IMO, no dog of any age needs grains.

What others have said. Finn's had TOTW since 7 months, it's an all-life-stages food.

We started Daisy on raw from the day we brought her home- she's never had any grain except for rice once in a while. I don't think there is an age- you just have to watch the nutritional content of what you feed.
