Ok, So I had posted a while ago about what it was like to show a dog. Someday I wanted a show dog, and I wanted to know a little more other than what I had seen as a spectator.
Well, now I have more questions! I found a breeder who is very close to me, feeds raw, she seems very nice, and I explained to her that I am new to this and need someone who can guide me through it. She was fine with that, saying that having someone to show you around makes life a lot easier. So, now we are trying to plan a time for me to go meet her and her dogs. I'm very excited!
Anyway, here's my question. For getting into showing, would you recommend getting a puppy or an older dog? Apparently she has a couple older dogs avail. One, is a 12 month old dog. She kept her and her sister, and has decided to show her sister and the other is a 6 yr old with 11 points already that she would let go with a breeding contract.
Also, when I meet her, what kind of questions should I ask her?
