Trent is pretty self explanatory. However, despite the fact that is not at ALL an unusual name, NO ONE ever gets it right when they hear it.

"Trench?", "Trick?", "Chen?". Our next door neighbors, who have known Trent since the day we brought him home, are STILL convinced that his name is "Prince".

Ziva: Zee-VA (not Zeba, which is invariably what people think her name is when they just hear it, no matter how much I stress the V)

Kestrel: Kest-rul

Aerten/Aeri: Air-ten, Air-E

Snipe: Sn-I-pe

Mine are easy. I can't spell things phonetically though.

Mia = Mee-a (Mee-uh)

Summer- like the season.

I still read Nia's name the same as Mia even though I know it's not pronounced the same. I can't help it.
