should i be concerned my poodle i no there eyes run but Maxwell's eyes when they run they are very thick and green he has been doing that for 3 weeks and i think it might be a cold but i just wanted some other opinions and should i take him to the vet

When in doubt, take them to a vet. The green does not sound good at all.

It sounds like an eye infection. Go take him to the vet, who will most likely prescribe a ointment called "NeoPolyDex" It's actually a hugely long name, but that's the short hand version. Sawyer had exactly the same thing (from you description) and that's all it took--one week of the ointment.

Green means infection.......

Yes, a vet visit is in order as he needs meds to help clear it up.

Take him to the Vet to be sure because you can't get a diagnoses over the Internet. Our dog had the same thing when we first brought her home, green gunk in the corners of her eyes, and it turned out to NOT be an infection. The vet said it could be allergies or even stress but to wait and see and it cleared up over the next week or so. When in doubt, see the vet.
