not all. 6 weeks is still very common in the hunting community.
And as I said, the guide dog organization we raised Sadie for places pups at seven weeks. And if these dogs are expected to be stable, functional working dogs, being placed before eight weeks obviously isn't effecting their temperament and/or stability.

But yes, I agree, before six weeks is just way too young and I personally don't think I'd feel comfortable adopting a pup before it was at least seven weeks old.
