Things you dislike about owning dogs

The only thing I hate is the vet bills. My oldest dog Molly is 10 and she has severe allergies and is always at the vet and each visit is always at least 350. Luckily the other animals just usually go in for their yearly visit, but Molly is at the vet every 6-8 weeks for bloodwork and to refill her meds.
the licking sound... drives me absolutely bonkers. I can't STAND that slurping and lip smacking... grossest me out

when Beezer gets diarrhea in the middle of the night. he is nice enough to keep it to the tile floor but I'm not a big fan of waking up at 3 am to that stench and getting to clean up liquid sh!t lol

I hate organ and fish days. The smell of veal liver and or kidneys is just...ugh I'm gagging just thinking about it. And those stupid sardine scales get all over my fingers and my hands seem to smell the rest of the day.
The fact that Pig riles Bear up is something I could also do without. Bear used to be pretty good about quieting down. He would bark whenever someone rang the bell/came into the house, but would stop when told to do so. Now that Pig is here they feed off of each other and it's much harder to get both to settle down.
Oh, and having to leave my dogs makes me so worried. A neighbour will come over a few times a day to take care of Bear when I leave for my brother's wedding this April, but have no idea what I'm doing with Pig. My boarding options range from "eh" to "no f*ing way."
The fact that Pig riles Bear up is something I could also do without. Bear used to be pretty good about quieting down. When they're throwing up or sick with diarrhea and it happens inside or inside in a crate (especially gross with a hairy dog). I have the weakest stomach.
Also, when something unimaginably bad happens to them and there is nothing you can do about it. Losing a dog unexpectedly has got to be one of the hardest things I've ever been through, and "what ifs" still plague me almost 5 years later. Losing a dog period is tough enough, but when the dog was perfectly healthy, it's a whole other thing.
And the superficial things like:
When they wake me up in the middle of the night/early in the morning with obnoxious noises. Ripley has the most annoying yawn when he wants up. He either screeches really loudly, or slams his jaw shut after with an audible thump that wakes me up. And he likes to kick the walls in his sleep. And he likes to lick when he knows I'm not awake to tell him to knock it off (I hate licking sounds).
Dremeling their nails weekly. It really doesn't take long, but it'd be better if they'd just be still for it and not kick and fidget (Dobermans) or put up a tantrum (Dance).

I feel bad that I have such a long list. I love Lucy to pieces, but owning a dog is really frustrating sometimes...
I dislike...
-that I can't go out with friends after work
-that she throws up on carpet all the time
-that she drags her butt across carpet all the time
-that she ruined $2000 of blinds by jumping and scratching at the window every time a cat/dog/squirrel walks in front of our house
-that I have to go out to the dog park even in 20 degree weather because she is annoying as heck if she doesn't get enough running in
-that any time she eats ANYTHING besides her kibble, she has diarrhea for days.
-that I can't get nice furniture, because she'll smoosh the cushions/throw up on it/etc.
-vacuuming up all the hair (even from a relatively low shedding dog)
I love cuddling, I love agility, I love a reason to be outside in nice weather, i love trick training, I love kisses...and they're all worth more than the frustrations, obviously.

I have it pretty easy. I would like it better if they didn't decide to make each other bleed from time to time (seems they need blood sacrifice every now and then..)
The death thing is a big thing for me. I love and hate how attached I get. I love the bond I have with Dekka, its like nothing I have ever had before. But even though I was very attached to Kat, it was nothing compared to how I feel about my Doo. I still get random flash backs about seeing Kats little very dead body. (her cremated remains are still at the vet as I can't bring myself to bring them home and the finality of it) When Dekka got kicked in the head this summer, my heart was in my throat the whole ride to the vet.
So I will take all the pooping, barking, shedding, licking and occasional blood letting if they could just live with me into old age.

The big stuff:
- The short lifespans. I wish you could get a dog and just have them around to grow old with you
- The health stuff.I hate that you just don't know.. I hate the idea of my dog being sick, that there isn't as much help when it comes to vet bills (and pet insurance isn't really useful sometimes) etc..
- Finding a place to rent! Christ almighty.. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. Find the perfect place? weight limit. breed restrictions. no dogs allowed. It's such a pain!
- The responsibility. They do tie you down. You can't run off and go on a random road trip with your friends, or jet off for spring break or go out after class or work.. because you have this animal that depends on you to take care of him/her.
The little things:
- Early morning walks that you really really don't feel like doing. (Also rainy walks, snow walks, cold walks, hungover walks, sick walks etc..)
- Messes. of all kinds. Poop, chewed up things, etc.. Dogs get sick, dogs get naughty.. it happens. and it's such a pain to clean up.
- Dog hair. everywhere.
- Oh just think of all the extra money.. lol money spent on quality food, toys, grooming, vet bills, training classes etc..
- The moments of UGH YOU KNOW BETTER THAN TO DO THIS!! No amount of training makes perfect dogs.. and there are just days. When they nearly yank your arm out of it's socket when they see a squirrel, bark at nothing, beg at the table or jump on guests when it's just like.. **** IT ALL!
And at the end of all that.. the good still outweighs the bad by a lot. '
Humans + Dogs aren't a perfect relationship, no relationship is.. but dammit, it's close to perfect than any other loving relationship I've been in lol

Lifespan and health issues. Honestly, I think I have a cry about once a week from even thinking about something happening to my boy. And I'm crazy with the veterinarians (he has 3 (regular, holistic and internal medicine specialist), plus a 4th rehab vet, all of whom he sees regularly).
And, on a lighter note, THIS:
I have told more people that if Puppy is an early riser, she's going to sleep in the (finished) basement. Bailey is wonderful about sleeping in on weekends and I really, really hope she is too! Or is at least is quiet in the mornings (once we're through puppyhood).

The stupidity of other people. The comments people make. Then again I suppose people do that about anything.
Not being able to travel. With Chloe we could easily find people to watch her or just take her with us. Not so much with Violet....I never ask anyone to take her while we were gone so we'd have to board her and it gets expensive FAST.
But neither are big deals to me, just small things.
I will say I hate the dog hair though, and the dirt that Violet tracks in.

The teenage puppy stage where obedience, WTF is that?! I'M A DOG!!! WOOOOO!!!
Family input about how I care more about dogs than I do them. *eyeroll*
Not being able to just drop everything and go do whatever for a couple days.
