That's one of the reasons they're so effective in fugitive recovery. Not only is their tracking ability similar to a Bloodhound's, they add speed and athleticism to the equation. Imagine - since you've met Kharma - her coming at you at that speed to apprehend you. That's enough to keep most from even attempting escape ;)

I wouldn't consider that vid a fast pace at all, it looks more like a jog to me.

That is slow in comparison to Orson's house zoomies, LOL, and he must hold back A LOT due to the tile floors! Phoebe flys faster than that and she has CLEARED our picnic table, and remember she is a shorty, lol

Coop, that's slow in comparison to KHARMA'S house zoomies too :D

I honestly never considered that she'd be able to overtake a young Pittie. Silly me . . . I've seen her catch and circle young bulls since she was a pup and they are way faster and more maneuverable than most dogs. There's not much quicker or more agile than a yearling or two year old bull . . . which is why they can be so deadly.
