hmmm... question...

Okay, since We got the new puppy Yami has being going to the potty weird. First he had diarrhea, (like really bad, it was like spray paint :/) then it was solid and dark for about 2 days... and its beginning to get mushy again. He's Pee'd on the floor 2x today. Like a lot ... and he was out just about 2 hours before. It was right before we we're going to go outside for a potty break. It was like he couldn't hold it.

Hes acting totally like his self though.

I'm just a bit concerned. Does anyone think it should be a vet trip?

Have you had a fecal done on your puppy? It could be coccidia and the puppy could have brought it into the environment. I would at the very least, recommend you have a fecal exam done on both dogs to be sure you aren't dealing with parasites.

I strongly suggest a trip to the vet. It could be anything from hookworms to roundworms to whipworms to coccidia to giardia to bacteria. A quick, & usually quite wallet friendly, urinalysis should show an elevated white blood cell count or blood in the urine indicating a possible UTI.

I wouldn't take chances ....but , it could be only stress with the new pup .
