RDW...First I would like to say "I am very sorry for what happen to you and your pets and I think a goose is a wonderful pet....my dad had one"

Secondly, you are allowing the emotion from your traumatic experience blind you. I could tell you of several people who have been robbed by black people, I know a woman that was brutally raped by a white man, I know someone that is crippled because of an accident with a Semi-truck, many many people are killed every year by teen age drivers....do you see where I am going?

Name anything in the world and I bet I can find a story about how "it" was responsible for a terrible event. Just because a few Pit Bulls owned by abusive and neglectful people hurt some people and animals does not make the whole breed(s) bad.

There was just a story in Milwaukee about some orphaned kittens that were found being nursed by a Pit Bull mother who had two puppies of her own. I have two dogs (see below) that love other animals and people and are not killers of anything! Would you rip my loving and loyal pets from me...they are innocent!

What ethnic group are you? every ethnic group has done some very terrible things...should we hold those crimes against you?

RDW I to am so sorry to hear about the horror you and your family had to endure. I have to stand on the other side of the fence though. I to am a pitty owner and Nalla my 2 yr old pit is one of the most gentle large animals that I have ever owned and met. But then again it is how she was raised. She was raised in a home that doesnt allow violence, she wasnt bred to fight or attack she wasnt raised to protect she was raised as a member of my family. When owners allow any animal to run at large they are the ones who ultimitly become responsible.

Granted there seem to be a large number of dog attacks and it is on the rise. The weather is changing and it is getting warmer and animals are let loose more so it seems. There needs to be stiffer penlties on the dog owners esp when attacks happen.

The insurance issue is pathetic. Before we got Zeus, my hubby and I really wanted a pit bull. They're such sweethearts. We ended up having to give up the idea; we found out our insurance would drop us like a lead zepplin if we got one.
